school council
Each class from Year 1 - 6 has two representatives that attend School Council meetings every two weeks. At School Council meetings, discussions take place on a variety of subjects, which are deemed to be important to that particular class. The teacher of the class enables this to happen, but does not influence the outcome. To become a School Councillor, a pupil has to volunteer and
then do a presentation to their class, explaining why they would make a good
School Councillor. The Class then vote
in a secret ballot to choose the person they wish to represent them.
Over the past months the School Council has instigated:
Cake Sales for each class, raising money for their chosen charity
Raised money for Children in Need and Red Nose Day
Non School Uniform Days
Lunchtime Menu
School Rules
Behaviour Rules and Awards
