Year 5 and pupils from Kineton High School were involved in some sporting activities at St Peter’s a few weeks ago. Do watch ‘Songs of Praise’ this Sunday at 5.30pm and see if you can spot anyone!
A few parents have asked why we didn’t dress up for World Book Day yesterday. Instead, this year, we are delighted to be linking up with the Stratford Literacy Festival at the end of the month and are really looking forward to our visit from Korky Paul (of Winnie the Witch fame!) on 2nd April. More details will follow.
Next Friday (14th March) is Riordan Class’s turn to run a cake sale so children from that class are asked to bring in biscuits / cakes to sell and everyone is invited to bring in 20p if they wish to buy something. Funds raised will go to Cancer Research UK.
It has been a very exciting week of sport for our key stage two children. Firstly, on Monday afternoon, a selection of year 5 and 6 children took in part the Southern Warwickshire netball tournament held at Kineton High School. They played exceptionally well, with an end result of third place overall after beating rivals Wellsbourne in the semi-final.
On Wednesday afternoon children from years 3 and 4 took part in a football tournament, their first one this year. This was a challenging tournament, with 16 schools taking part and the children played really well, coming third in their group with only two points separating them from first place. Thank you to all parents and staff who came to support, especially Mrs Pugh who acted as helper and official photographer and to Miss Gayton for organising both events. |
