Friends

Just a reminder that it is the Easter Fayre tomorrow afternoon, starting at 2pm. Cakes and biscuits for the cake stall would be much appreciated, as would any unwanted books for the second-hand book stall. Please bring them in at the end of school or tomorrow morning.

Cake Sale

Well done to Class 4 who ran a very successful cake sale yesterday. A grand total of £40.02 was raised which will be put towards the purchase of school equipment.

Sponsored Skip

Thank you to the parents who came into school this afternoon to watch the skills of some of our talented skippers. Hopefully you will all be able to promote skipping as a healthy and enjoyable activity. Your child should bring home their sponsor form today with details of their achievements. Please try to collect sponsor monies over Easter and send them in to school by Friday 10th April.

Book Fair

Your child should have brought home Book Tokens for our forthcoming book fair.  The Book Fair will be at the Easter Fayre tomorrow and after school on Monday and Tuesday next week.  As usual there will be a vast selection of books for you to choose from.

Class Assembly

Just a reminder that it is Reception class’s turn to produce a class assembly next Tuesday. It will start at 10.15am and family and friends are very welcome to attend.

Easter Service

This will take place at St Peter’s Church at 9.30am next Wednesday (19th March). Year 6 will be taking a major role in the service and everyone is very welcome to attend this special service.

Cycle Awareness

Recent requests for help have unfortunately only brought one new volunteer forward so sadly the course will not run this year. Many thanks to all of our volunteers who have helped with this over the previous 20 years. Warwickshire County Council may be able to offer the course at some future date but there will be a cost involved.

 Parents’ evenings

Following this week’s meetings with teachers and the recent school reports, you should now be clear on how your child is progressing and areas they need to work on. If you haven’t already done so, please return the slip on the report, including comments if appropriate. Please also ensure your child’s writing assessment book is returned to school before the holiday.

School Uniform

With kinder weather hopefully around the corner, you may be thinking about your child’s summer uniform. Details of our school uniform are here. ‘Winter uniform’ may be worn all year round if you prefer.

Parrots

This after school French club will run from Friday 11th April until Friday 20th June. Details of other clubs will be provided after Easter.

Goodbyes

We shall be saying goodbye to Mrs Chris Braggs on Wednesday as she retires. She has worked in our school for 24 ½ years and has seen the school through a great many changes. We wish her the very best for a long and happy retirement.

Miss Amy Aylward and Mrs Nicola Field also start their maternity leave. We wish them well and look forward to hearing their baby news next term.

 Easter Holidays

Just a reminder that children finish school next Wednesday (19th March) and return on Thursday 3rd April.

Hope you all have a great Easter!
