Recent School Trip

Class 3 had a lovely trip to Cross Hands Quarry yesterday where they were able to learn more about their topic of rocks and soils and found some very interesting fossils. Well done to all of you for showing how much you had learned and for representing our school so well.

Class Assembly

Thank you to both Class 1 and Class 5 for their recent assemblies. Class 5 performed their own version of the Ancient Greek myth of Medusa. Class 1 shared with us some of the work they had been doing on plants and nature. Well done for such clear, loud voices.

Visiting Theatre Company

On Wednesday afternoon the whole school was treated to a performance of ‘The Happy Tree’ by the Venture Theatre Company. This was on the theme of caring for the environment. Many thanks to ‘The Friends’ who paid for it.

Saturday morning tidy up

Thank you very much to the volunteers who helped last Saturday with some of the tidying up jobs around the school grounds.

Lunchtime supervisor

Just a reminder that there will be a vacancy after half-term for a daily lunch time supervisor. We also have a vacancy on Wednesday and Friday lunchtimes. Please contact the school office if you are interested. The successful candidate will require a satisfactory CRB check.

Virus in school

We have had a higher than usual level of absence this week due to children contracting a virus whose main symptoms have been a severe headache, high temperature and/or an upset stomach.  Some children are experiencing a loss of use of their legs. If your child displays these symptoms, please keep them at home until they have recovered.

Mobile telephone numbers

Several children have become unwell whilst at school this week and we have had difficulty contacting parents due to mobile numbers held in the school office being out of date. Please ensure you pass any new numbers to the school office so we can contact you in case of an emergency.
