EXTRA
VIGILANCE REQUIRED We
have been notified of an attempted snatch of a pupil outside Class
Assemblies Well
done to Class 2 who entertained us on Tuesday with an assembly which took
us around the world in twenty minutes. Well done also to Class 3 who
entertained us on the theme of Sponsored
Skip Our
sponsored skip takes place next Friday (14th) so please get
collecting those sponsors! Please ensure that all children have the
correct PE kit in school that day, including appropriate footwear. Parents
are invited into school at Friends School
is a veritable chocolate mountain today after your generous support of our
non-uniform day. This will be used on the chocolate tombola at the Easter
Fayre on Saturday 15th March. Don’t forget the children’s
competitions too – an egg (hard boiled or blown) made into a model of a
nursery rhyme character for KS1 and an egg word for KS2 (e.g. eggsercise,
eggsam, eggsterminate, etc) – and keep selling those treasure hunt
tickets! Extra tickets are available from the school office. Cake
It
is Class 4’s turn to run a cake sale. This will take place next Thursday
(13th March) during morning break. Money raised will go towards
equipment for the school. Parents’
evenings You
should by now have received details of the evenings available for you to
meet with your child/children’s class teacher. Please return the slips
as soon as possible. The meeting will give you the opportunity to discuss
your child’s school report which you should have received today. After
school clubs Due
to parents evenings running next week and breaking up for Easter the
following week, a lot of the extra-curricular activities will not be
running this week. Teachers will advise children as to which clubs are
running and which are not. Please contact the office or the leader of the
club if you are unsure. A
revised set of activities will begin after Easter. Cookery club will not
run. Reports
and Writing Assessments All
children will bring home their annual reports today and their most recent
writing assessment. Please make sure you return the reply slip regarding
the report, make a comment in the writing assessment book and return to
school on Parents Evening.
We
send these books home once a term, to give you an idea of the level at
which your child is working and more importantly to show targets for
improvement. Please read through the writing with your child and discuss
it together. Hope you all have a great weekend! (Acting
Headteacher)
