Evening Thank
you to ‘Friends’ for organising another very successful evening which
was enjoyed by all! Recent
School Trips
Last
week, Class 2 enjoyed a trip to Compton Verney to take part in a
storytelling workshop. They listened to and acted out lots of stories,
made story sketch books and visited the galleries. Thank you to all their
parent helpers on the trip. Reception
and Class 1 had a very interesting day out yesterday, despite the weather
and problems with the coach! They went to Ryton Pools and hunted for
minibeasts and had great fun building dens! Well done all of you for such
good behaviour. Baby
News! Congratulations
to Miss Aylward and Mrs Field on the safe arrival of their babies. Miss
Aylward has had a little boy and Mrs Field a girl. Both mums and babies
are doing well and we look forward to seeing them soon. Class
Assembly
N
ext Thursday (8th May) is Class 1’s turn to present a class assembly,
starting at 10.20am. Family and friends are very welcome to attend and tea
and coffee will be available afterwards. E-newsletter The
school newsletter can be sent out to you via email on Fridays. We have
only been able to send it last week due to glitches with the new school
email set up. We are keen to reduce the amount of paper used in school and
would be pleased to provide newsletters electronically. If you would
like to be added to the list, please send an email to our new address admin3308@we-learn.com. School
profile This
provides information about the school and is available on the internet-
the address is http://schoolsfinder.direct.gov.uk/9373308/school-profile/ . Saturday
morning tidy up The
more promising weather set for this weekend means we will go ahead with
our planned tidy up morning on Saturday. We would like any parents able to
help to join us at 9am for an hour or two. There are three main jobs-
'sorting out' the willow tunnel, the picnic benches and the area in front
of Reception class which will include repainting the boards with
blackboard paint. If you able to come and help us, please bring any tools
you think might help with those jobs. Lunchtime
There
will be a vacancy after half-term for a daily lunch time supervisor. We
are looking for someone who enjoys working with children, and particularly
supporting them as they play. We offer a friendly, supportive working
environment and would love to hear from you if you think you have the
necessary skills. We also have a vacancy on Wednesday and Friday
lunchtimes. Please contact the school office if you are interested. The
successful candidate will require a satisfactory CRB check. School
uniform Just
a reminder that skirts and dresses should be knee length. Your support in
this is appreciated. Bank
Holiday Monday
(5th May) is a bank holiday and school will therefore be
closed. We will be open as usual on Tuesday. Have
a lovely, extended weekend! Margaret
